you could lipsynch..
you would then have an excuse.

what do jpop and i have in common...oh the possibilites

REBECCA was a japanese pop group in the 80's with hits including "Cheap Hippies," "Raspberry Dream," and my personal fave... "Love is Cash" or "Luv iss a-kash!"

rebecca's are a dying breed. to all existing rebecca's: learn from REBECCA, keep it classy, keep it fun, and always remember LOVE IS CASH!

don't settle ladies

greedy motherspocker

oh && saw startrek today ^if u didn't get that little POW (play on words), Zachary Quinto was soooo good as *Spock, i want those eyebrows.

natural woman

today i decided to try out a couple of natural/DYE beauty remedies.

1. extra virgin olive oil

i have read reviews on makeupalley claiming that EVOO will clear skin, heal cracked heels (hehe), remove makeup/moisturize face, most say it does not cause breakouts. i am a little scared to put it on my face because its a thick oil, but i will try it for the purpose of science.

as a foot treatment:

i applied about half a teaspoon to each foot and then followed with a pair of socks.

first impression: the smell is making me hungry.

an hour later: my feet are extremely soft, i would even go as far as to say they are fetish worthy.

as a facial moisturizer:

first impression: i put a dime size into my palm and rubbed it on my face, it doesnt feel as thick and greasy as i thought it would. my skin feels really soft, but i am debating leaving it on or washing it off after like 15 minutes..

in their reviews people on makeupalley claimed that it "dissolved blackheads"..that has yet to be seen..

5 min later: my pores actually do look clearer and my face has yet to become irritated, so i think i will leave it on and update in like an hour or so.

overall: my skin tone was more even, and i liked it, but i would use it at night only.

eyelash treatment:

some say that if you coat your eyelashes with EVOO they become thicker and grow longer.

meh, i'll try it, what do i have to lose.

2. aspirin face mask

ingredients:

3-4 UNCOATED aspirin
1/2 tablespoon of honey
enough luke warm water to make aspirin dissolve without being too watery

first impression: i first made this mask with too much water and when i added the honey it was very watery, so i didn't do it exactly right...but the mix is on my face..it smells weird.

may have not made the mask correctly but as a scrub it feels good.

results?: after leaving it on for 10 minutes, i used my clarisonic to get it loose, then washed my face with a cleanser.

my skin feels really soft, but a bit tight/dry around my jawline and forehead.

overall: the water/aspirin ratio is a bit tricky, but i would definitely use this again and see if i could get some long-term results.

*it has been like 2 hours since i wrote this. looking back it is kinda randumb, but i will post it anyways aha.

in the year 2005/6ish

listen to this song, by the Rosebuds. Title: Makeout Song

[i cnt stop listening to it, it fits this slow summer night perfectly]

this song reminds me of year 10, and made me want to compile a list of the songs/bands i liked in the year of 10.

these bands are all post my AFI obsession:

Mates of State

this was an entry for a contest MOS had for their fans. The task: make a music video to "Goods". I luved this video by G.J. Echternkamp and even had a link to it in my AIM profile.

Architecture in Helsinki

i was in forever21 the other day and their new song "The Beep" [impressed, i rly like that song, rly poppy and top40-esque imo.] was playing.. they were always kinda popular, right? yah..anyways really liked their simple/catchy songz.

The Moldy Peaches

...I am going to take this as an opportunity to say FUCK JUNO. That movie was utter shit and whoever likes it, I think a bit less of you now. Also, it was a pain in the ass to try to find a Moldy Peaches vid because of all the fucking "anyone else but you" cover videos by FUCKING JUNO FANS.

DAMN YOU JUNO. DAMN YOU TO HELL!

The Unicorns

definitely put this on a mix cd for my dad aha. my personal fave song is "Child Star" because of the call-and-response part in the middle <3 I like Islands and all, but miss the Unicorns.

Mirah

Make It Hot - Mirah

too many good songs to pic from, but this was one that i really really liked when i was 15. i missed seeing her in SF this year..ihatenawtbeing21, but i will be in a month ;)

Belle and Sebastian

the album "If You're Feeling Sinister," could probably be the soundtrack to all of my sophmore year and fit everything i felt that year perfectly. this album is beautiful.

blahblah i know it's the song that the album is named after but whatevs, it was still my favorite and my xanga background music for hella days. HELLA days...who remembers xanga? xanga was like prehistoric social networking for "outcasts" and azns.

Le Tigre

WHO DOESN'T LIKE DECEPTICON?! that video was so good. i posted it before in one of my first posts, maybe even the first one? i will admit, for awhile i thought the band was two girls and a boy... :/

mad love to lesbians and riot grrls.

luv me, h8 me

i think i like the idea of people more then the people themselves.

all of my poems, i guess you could call them poems, are not totally about real boys, but the idea of the boy. you could say the poems are not representative of the person as much as how i would like to think of them in my mind.

the boys are creative tools, if you will.

5 things I use in Excess, by me.

1. q-tips

i cannot stop cleaning my ears. i clean them probably 3 times a day. i know it is bad for you, but it just feels sooo good. TOO GOOD. i have become an addict.

2. shredded mozzarella cheese

everytime i make pasta, which is like everyday, or a quesadilla, which is like every other day, i use ATLEAST 2 cups of mozzarella cheese per-dish. nom nom nom, i luv cheese.

3. ontd

its embarrassing, but this livejournal community has become an extension of my personality and identity, ever since i first logged on two years ago. oh the memories <3.

choose ontd, not perez.

4. abbrevs (abbreviations)

yah yah, so whatevs, i use abbrevs, GET OVER IT. i actually have made up some really useful abbrevs for common phrases. abbrevs save you time AND breath.

my latest: speak of the dev.

new phrase of 2k9, spread it.

5. l'occitane ambre perfume

i had been going a whole year without perfume because of my broke-ass-ness, but once i came into a little cash i bought l'occitane's ambre perfume. imaging cleopatra sun bathing, getting fanned by two slaves in loin clothes whilst she observes the construction of her tomb, that's what it smells like + frenchness.

i'm ~obsessed~

Beyonce- Ego

i have no idea why i like this song so much..it has been on repeat all afternoon.

it might be the sexual innuendos, i always luv that in songs.

who wants to buy me Beysus tix for her oakland show? birthday gift? anyone? anyone?

i'm gonna learn this dance. can u SEE what beyonce can do in heels? do you even appreciate that type of showmanship?!?!!?

a lot better then whatsherface..

not even dancing, and couldn't bother wearing heels. weak ass shit perry. WEAK SHIT.

i said i could do it..

an entire blog post about THE QUEEN. no, not madonna, not beyonce, NOT EVEN GAGA.

this is about, the one, the only

*bette midler.

she starting out performing in gay bathhouses in NYC and soon gained fame in the underground scene and would become one of the most renowned (and most fabulous) gay icons of all time!

i couldn't find any videos on youtube of those old performances, but here are a few of my personal favorites.

anyone born in the 90's knows this movie, Hocus Pocus

when i was younger i never really "got" this part, but it was pretty simple and obvious what the purpose of the song was.

another from my childhood..

bette in first wives club, probably my favorite role of hers. <3

bette vs. goldie showdown!

Luv her classy humor, not being afraid to say "tits" is always a good quality in a celebrity.

The set/concept for this performance is ridiculous

*not to be mistaken with Joy Behar.

i just realized why i like bette so much. it is because she reminds me so much of my grandma eleanor <3 both are extremely sassy and inspirational

spent my night watching blaxploitation movie: Coffy

Featuring none other then Pam Grier herself.

This is the first blaxploitation film that I have ever seen, and let me tell you it will NOT be the last. Damn this movie was a trip, a social and political time warp. All of the service jobs are given to white people, and all of the high power jobs are given to Black men, YET the Black men are still working ultimately for white drug lords. They also have a slew of corrupt police and politicians. Overall though, it just scratches the surface and ends up stereotyping Black people as simply drug lords and pimps. It was an interesting glimpse into Black media and I will continue to watch blaxploitation for historical comparisons.

As for Pam Grier, the heroin...she passed out bj's like thank you cards and ends up blowing a bunch of men to get information about drug dealers. With this info she goes on a killing spree to avenge her 11 year old sister who got hooked on heroin by some junkies in her neighborhood. Were drugs really that rampant in the Black community at the time that 11 year olds were junkies? Is that true? I hope not, I find it very hard to believe.

Pam is supposed to be a strong "liberated" women, yet she only gains power by seducing men or leading them to believe they will receive a..happy ending.. I can say this though:

Pam Grier has amazing boobs, I would know, they practically were the supporting role of the film. So many boobs in this movie.

You would think Pam would have a hard time fighting off 6 pastie white ass hoes, but no. She utilizes her assets and hides razor blades in her perfectly coiffed fro. Suck on that MacGevery.

Oh but ladies, there is something for you in this film. I present: the male camel toe.

look closely or else you'll miss it (it's at :32 ;])

don't trust beautiful boys

everyone is leaving campus and packing, i feel like i should have yearbook or something to commemorate the moment...instead i have fb albums.

things i realized i dont like:

when people talk about dog breeds [i just dont know what the f you are talking about] actually whenever people talk about dogs. its a foreign subject to me, i have never had a dog, and probs never will. people make me feel shitty for not liking dogs.

when people make their smiley faces backwards [ex. (:] emoticons follow the same structure as written English . LEFT to RIGHT. this isn't Japan.

things i realized i luv:

greek pop stars

dnt wanna be ur man, just wanna play with u

WHY was i celibate for so long? WHY DID I DO THAT TO MYSELF. it might be true. if u dont use it, u lose it.

taking this as a Image and video hosting by TinyPic into my opinion on virginity in america:

i am sick and fucking tired of hearing young girls and women preach about how they want to remain "pure" by abstaining from sex. so non virgins are practically a jump hop and a skip away from being a whore? is that what "purity" is to you people?

and what is there for women who have that virginity taken from them? the myth of purity is completely destroying the self-esteem and ability of women to realize their individual power despite their bodies.

the mere fact that girls who are not virgins are un-"pure" or dirty is a completely oppressive tactic placed onto girls enforcing the idea that their only worth is their virginity. that needs to be changed.

sick and fucking tired of it.

and to all of you holier-then-thou christians...ANAL COUNTS.

full from breakfast at tiffanys

angela chase once said "My entire life became divided into kissing... and not kissing. Kissing... and not kissing."

currently: not kissing. currently: wanting to be kissing.

last night a hooker told me i could "make some money"..i feel oddly complimented.

i thought of what i should have said to her while i was in the bathroom this morning. what i should have said, but did not was "oh no, i wouldn't want to compete with you lovely ladies."

that would have been a classy statement. i wish i thought to say that. haha.

went to the jenny owen youngs show last night at bottom of the hill it was sooo good. she is sooo good. i love female artists, and she was top notch. wish she played "hot in here". we asked her why she didnt. to quote her "i've played that song more then nelly!"

understandable.

i just noticed a spider web on the corner of my window. it is really awesome, and i hope the elements don't destroy it.

pretty sure i peed my bed last night..

feeling very uninspired, my blogs are sucking lately.

right now, well just today, i am really into Asian-American women of the 60's, culture's infatuation with pimps, and changing my hair.

also i have started to re-luv Marc Jacobs after watching this documentary about him on youtube.

luv his first collection for perry ellis. i've been combing the web for like an hour trying to find pics, but alas they are nowhere. it was his grunge line, the same line that got him fired from perry ellis hah.

jk, found a sort of pic. the collection i am talking about is featured in the upper right hand corner.

listening to young folks, nostalgic?

last night liz rode home in the trunk of a car.

i read something, somewhere, or saw something, maybe on oprah? about a teenage boy who was taking a joy (questionable) ride in the trunk of his friend's car. inevitably the car crashed, inevitably the trunk opened, and inevitably he died.

i dont think i will ever ride in the trunk of a car.

but i know how to escape if i were kidnapped and forced to ride in the trunk of a car.
i read something, somewhere, or saw something, maybe dateline? giving escape methods if one were ever kidnapped and forced to ride in the trunk of a car.

what you do: kick your leg through the tail light and wave an appendage out of the hole you created. a good citizen driving behind you will inevitably call the police and inevitably report the kidnapper's license plate number, you will be saved.

eventually.

Rally - Phoenix

its misting here at Daily City State University. not raining, but misting. i'm not going to go anywhere today.

Stop calling it "Marc by" like you are on first name basis with a store..

Stop with your defense mechanisms, they are so obvious.

I do not know what that last post was, I was drunk and trying to put this idea that I have had in my head for awhile into words..it didn't work out so well.

I don't know whether to believe that the Swine flu is nothing more then a media frenzy, or the cause of my future death. I fear for my parents, they are old and feeble. Their immune systems won't be able to defend against the mutated virus.

I don't even want to take the Muni anymore :/
